Historic Preservation Award Awarded to Zaballos Enterprises for
22425 Main Street, Hayward CA
The Historic Preservation Award recognizes meritous efforts to protect and/or preserve a historic property, residential or commercial, in the Hayward area. The structure must be at least 50 years old and have undergone exterior and/or interior preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, landscape restoration, or sympathetic additions. This award recognizes Zaballos Enterprises for their work preserving the historic property att 22425 Main Street in Hayward. Originally built as a furniture store and warehouse on a portion of the former site of Hayward's Hotel, the property was purchased by Zaballos Enterprises in 2000. They have undertaken extensive seismic and structural upgrades to the building. Preserving the classic lines and architecture of the structure. Zaballos Enterprises have given new life to the local commercial landscape by nurturing its historic roots. More photos of the restoration in progress.
